Moving X-Rays Between Patients in Apteryx

When x-rays need to be moved to the correct patient, follow the steps below to make sure x-rays are matched to the correct patient account.

1. Click here

2. Show all clinics

3. Click All

4. Enter the patient information to find the patient you are looking for

5. Click “OK”

6. Click ‘Apteryx’ in the tool bar of Open Dental

7. Click “View Images”

8. Click “Query For Images”

9. Click here once

10. Then click on the page with a check mark

11. Click “Yes”

12. Change any information under ‘Patient Information’ to match the account the x-rays should be associated with. This includes:
Patient ID, last name, first name, date of birth, gender

All of the above categories must match in open dental.

13. Once all information matches, click ‘OK’

14. Click “Go Back”

15. Once back on the screen below you will see the number of files to forward in the Forward Images box. Once that changes to no files to forward you are done.
