Income Transfers in Open Dental

Below are the steps on how to complete an income transfer in Open Dental.
- When all claims are closed AND there is a balance on the account or the account balance is zero follow the steps below when:
- One family member has a balance and another family member has a credit
- If there are unearned funds on the account
- If there is a credit on the account – do NOT complete an Income Transfer!
How to do an Income Transfer in Open Dental
1. Click on the dropdown arrow next to the Payment button
2. Click “Income Transfer”
3. Click “Transfer”
4. X out of the window
5. You can check the transfer to by clicking on ‘Entire Family’
6. And then the transfer will be the last lines in the ledger
