Removing Medications from a Chart

DoseSpot has changed to only syncing data 1-way, from dose spot into open dental. Nothing put directly into open dental writes back into dose spot. As a result, you now have to remove any medications from DoseSpot before removing it from the chart in Open Dental. This is only necessary when the medication appears in DoseSpot. If it’s not there already, you can remove it directly from Open Dental.

Click on the “eRx” button in the menu bar while in the “Chart” tab

Find the medication you wish to remove, click on the Actions” button on the right, and select “Remove”

Select “Duplicate/Mistake” to completely remove it from the chart. and click “OK”

Go back to the chart in Open Dental, double click on the medication in the Patient Info box on the Chart tab

Double click on the medication you wish to remove, and select “Remove”

Click “Save” to save changes.
